Top 10 skills for the future

In a continuously changing world and in times of crisis there is one prominent question: do we need to re-invent our business to change things for the better? How can we reskill to thrive in these challenging times and unleash our human potential? The pandemic has accelerated the demand for online and offline learning, and has re-enforced the need for critical thinking, problem-solving and creativity. All of these are on the new top10 list of skills for 2025 of the World Economic Forum. 

What are the key insights for business innovation? To design new purpose-driven futures you have to develop new ways of thinking and doing. The bounty of technological innovation which defines our current era can only be leveraged by developing our human potential as well. Greater complexity, faster changes and an increasing adaptation of technology will require not only new skills but new attitudes as well. For the first time we see self-management skills such as active learning, resilience, stress tolerance and flexibility on the WEF list. The report provides insights into how much time it takes to reskill or upskill. Everyone learns in different moments and in different ways, but all of us need to keep on learning to keep on innovating. We believe that for business innovation to be successful, you need to develop a learning culture.
