Judith Heikoop, CEO IME Medical Electrospinning

Leading business transformation

IME Medical Electrospinning is a groundbreaking MedTech scale-up, founded by Ramon Solberg in the high-tech Brainport region. IME offers innovative solutions to allow the development of medical devices to support the human body to regenerate itself.

Since the current CEO Judith Heikoop joined IME, the company has been in transition from product to customer-oriented, including opening up new offices in Leiden’s BioScience park to be closer to their clients.

Judith has a track record in setting up new business ventures for corporates. We asked her what it takes to thrive in this phase. “The key is to have a learning attitude, you have to try new things, evaluate and adjust. We’re moving into new territories and have developed a unique electrospinning production process, focusing on the emerging market of women’s health. Our strength, and our challenge, is that we’re doing this with a diverse and distinctive team of both technological and medical application specialists. This means we need to invest in team building, and understanding each other’s language, to be able to have the constructive dialogue we need to continuously improve ourselves”.

Does your business growth require diversity and are you actively creating the right conditions for constructive dialogue?
